OUR HISTORY

Mr. Cheung set out in the 1980’s to sell garments to the Chinese market. The garment business was booming, but it was a continuous struggle to ensure high quality raw materials and semi-finished products. With experience from vertical textile industry, Mr. Cheung quickly figured out how to make better fabrics than what he could find on the market. He decided to take full control over the entire value chain from raw cotton to finished fabric – and from there the rest is history. Since 1986, Panther Textiles Holding has been delivering premium denim, piece-dye and printed fabrics through in-house spinning, dyeing, weaving, finishing and print facilities. Today, our mill is fully vertical with capacity for 5 million yards of denim fabric, 4 million yards of piece-dyed fabric, and 1.5 million yards of printed fabric per month.

After decades of success in the domestic market, Tat Fung Textile Co. was incorporated as a subsidiary of Panther Textiles Holding to manage the increasing amount of international business. With long experience from international piece-dye and denim industry, Shadow Chan took on the responsibility to supply the best of denim and piece-dyed fabrics to the global markets. With the addition of Tim Huesemann leading the European sales office, Tat Fung has been working non-stop to ensure production of the highest standards of fabric with a unique flexibility and control offered with our vertical production facilities.

Panther Textiles Holding and Tat Fung Textile Co. is now more than 3,800 people strong, with our mill facilities located in Kaiping, Guangdong, China. Through innovation and emphasis on quality and sustainability, we put all of our focus to bringing our customers the best products available on the market.
